Brief portrait
The Pogwisch House was once the residence of Goethe's son August and his daughter-in-law Otilie. The building, located in the east of Weimar's Ilm Park, was renovated from 2005 to 2006 and converted into individual areas. IPH was commissioned to plan the heating and electrical installations. Drinking water is supplied centrally via boilers. The water is heated in the 100-liter water heater, which is integrated into the compact heating unit. A gas condensing boiler was used to ensure an optimum heat supply for the building. A heating load of approx. 12 kW was determined for the building. The flow and return temperatures are 65°/50°C. The radiator network is designed with a spread of 65°/50°C and the underfloor heating with a spread of 45°/39°C. Plan valve radiators were installed in the entire living area on the first floor and a bathroom radiator was installed in the bathrooms in addition to the underfloor heating. The entire basement is fitted with underfloor heating controlled by electronic room thermostats.
