Brief portrait
The conversion and renovation of the primary and secondary school complex in Berlstedt began in 1996. First, the old 750 kW brown coal heating system was replaced by a modern 450 kW oil heating system. The entire building heating network of the primary and secondary school was planned and renewed according to the latest standards. The refurbishment of the school sports hall made it possible to install a modern sports floor heating system. Adjustable air outlets have been installed in the gymnasium, which can be adjusted in winter so that the air can also be directed downwards. This is an important aspect, as the thermal effect of the underfloor heating plays a significant role here. Water-saving fittings have been used in the sanitary areas. The hall area, the gym and the sanitary areas were fitted with a ventilation system with heat recovery.
