Brief portrait
The historical-landmark-listed villa, which was previously used as a residential building, has been converted into a prestigious office building. The FITR Weimar and the administration of the Zöllner Foundation moved into the renovated old building. The Max Zöllner Foundation set itself the goal of implementing an innovative, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating system for the historical-landmark-listed Zöllner Villa. The aim of the planning was to obtain part of the required energy from the ground.
Irrigation was also to be carried out in an environmentally friendly way. This was achieved by supplying all the toilets and urinals with rainwater, thus saving precious drinking water. The focus is on the bivalent heating system using renewable energies. A special feature is the geothermal field
with a total of 9 deep boreholes, in which innovations from various FITR Weimar research and development projects are used. A wall heating system is used to heat the hall.
