Brief portrait
In the immediate vicinity of the Kulturforum and Potsdamer Platz, the Maritim Group's new 4-star-plus hotel with congress center and underground car park (1000 beds) has been built on Stauffenbergstrasse in Berlin's Mitte-Tiergarten district. The approx. 12,000 sqm site is located in the so-called “Shellhaus-Quartier”, nestled between the listed Shellhaus on the Landwehr Canal, the Ministry of Defense with the national memorial “Bendlerblock”, the Science Center, the embassies and the Picture Gallery. The diversity of the surrounding buildings reflects the main architectural trends of the 20th century. IPH prepared the design planning, the bill of quantities and the MEP cost calculation for this project.
